Ridgeway Assisted Living is a Licensed Group Home located on the east side of Anchorage, Alaska.
- Rates: Our monthly room and board (rent) charge is $650 per month; and the daily rate for services provided depends on the type of financial assistance or medicaid waiver the potential client has (APDD, IDD, CMCC). For private paying clients, the daily rate will depend on what services are needed.
- Services: Furnished private room with bedding; storage space; onsite laundry; 3 meals and snacks; assistance with activities of daily living to include toileting, bathing, dressing, eating; assistance with medication administration; around the clock staff; and transportation to appointments and scheduled activities.
- Residents: We are Licensed with the State of Alaska for DD/MH. Since opening, we have cared for clients with diagnosis of Borderline intellectual functioning, Mild intellectual disabilities, Tracheostomy, Down Syndrome, Autism, and others.
- Staff: Staff of the Home have a combined history of 50 years of experience working hands on with clients in the industry. Each staff has First Aid and CPR certification, a background check with the State of Alaska, and a driver’s license. Staff also include a Registered Nurse (RN), Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA), and a past Residential Licensing specialist.
- Daily Activities: We have a weekly schedule that includes bowling, movies, and baking. Our clients are frequent visitors of the local gym where they engage in aerobic classes, swimming, and basketball. Since we have a lower capacity, we are able to cater the activities to the clients.
Our clients are treated with the utmost respect and stay in constant communication with their legal representatives. We encourage and challenge clients to be active, progress in their independent living skills, and have a central part of their care. We are so confident about our clients that we will provide recommendations from the legal representatives of any past clients that have been in our care.
Description of the Client that would be the perfect fit: Someone who gets along well with females, loves to go out into the community and be physically active, is mild mannered.
Description of the Client that wouldn’t be a great fit: Someone who has violent and explosive behaviors, is aggressive and confrontational, and does NOT like to go out into the community.
If you have a potential client who may not be a great fit but is interested in speaking with our representative, we’d love to have a conversation and meet as sometimes clients behaviors can be dictated by their environment and the care they receive.
